Check out the map below. Orlando is located in central florida and is a 45 minute drive away from Daytona Beach and a 2 hour drive from Miami.

 

 Flying to Orlando 

You can reach Orlando by flying either of its international airports, with flights to Sanford USA (SFB) or Orlando International Airport (MCO). Orlando International is about  a 15 minute drive from the centre of Orlando attractions and hotels and Sanford is further afield about a 40min drive away.

Things to do in Orlando - not just the Theme parks.              

 Your holiday to Florida is not just theme parks and big thrills you can make it a relaxing by visiting the one of many beautiful beaches and relaxing in a spa in some luxury hotel or even taking up the many sports on offer, such as golf and watersports.


 Orlando Parks are just a short drive away from the miles of beaches on the coastline such as Clearwater and St Petes Beach. You can have a magical day at Discovery Cove to swim with the dolphins in a tropical lagoon or go snorkeling with rays and tropical fish, or try a boat ride at boggy creek and encounter the alligators on the way!

Florida is just a fantastic place for Families and couples alike with plenty of activities in the great Outdoors, however whilst you are there it can become very expensive. Before you travel, plan your budget well and it may be well worth doing an activity planner for the duration of your trip.

Shopping in Florida

Orlando has plenty to offer with the great shopping malls there where you can pick up some great bargains from any of the designer outlets. When to Visit Orlando

All attractions are open all year round, however for the best weather, visit during October and November, March and April when the weather is warm but not too humid.

The quietest times for the Theme Parks runs from September through til Thanksgiving which is the third Thursday of November. The busiest times are the major holidays in June and August. Orlando is on EST (Eastern Standard Time) which is 5 Hours behind GMT .
